From what I've heard (cause I've yet to try clay noses), most people create their noses around the base of a glass eye or other wire they can crimp. Then they insert it onto the muzzle in a similar fashion to inserting eyes.
Hopefully others can help more! |

Hi;
When I make a clay nose, I first get a nose that I like then make a mold using a two part mold maker. After I push the clay into the mold, I push a pre-made wire loop.(Cut a piece of fairly small wire. Twist a few times to make a loop on one end and the other end is separated to anchor inside the clay to bury it). I then bake in oven for 20 min. at 150 degrees. If you didn't have the 'anchor' the wire would pull out. |
