This may not be a new question, but I was curious about waxing bear noses. Do you "paint" the melted wax on the nose after you embrodier?

Hi Kim,
Another way is to just rub the beeswax onto the nose and buff it with course papertowel. To acieve the right look, you can repeat the process as many times as you wish. Coloured wax is available (I know of brown and black) .
I've tried the melting technique and found the results to be similar to the rubbing method, but I feel that I have more control (with the rubbing method) in how much wax gets applied and I don't have to worry about drips landing in unwanted places.

You can also use a blowdryer on high heat on the nose to help sink the wax into the nose. Be sure to buff after each application of wax.

Neat idea about the blow dryer! - I'm going to give it a try with the rubbing method.
Thanks Donna
