Can someone tell me what is the difference between size 3, 5, 8 and 12. I can only assume it's the thickness of the yarn but what is the largest is it 12 and is there any way to convert that into bear lingo?
I move from California almost 3 years ago to Florida and I'm finding myself going through withdrawls from making teddy bears, (and my hands and fingers hurt again) but I like to use a very thick thread/yarn to make the noses and I'm drawing a blank. Please don't make me go to "JoAnn's". It is so depressing, plastic bear joints, ick! fake streatchy fur, barff. I would really like some imput ASAP. Need to tap into the market NOW!!! Get my supplies built up. But all I have is "stuffing" in my head.

I hear you about withdrawal. ;) #3 is the thickest. #12 is very thin.

Supper dupper thank you soooo much. I went on the net last night trying to figure this thing out and was absolutly dumbfounded by the lack of information. I must of been using the wrong key word?
