Oh, I love her Yvette. That is gorgeous fabric! I can see why you were hanging on to it!

Isn't it funny how that piece of fur you're saving just seems to call out at just the right time???
She is a cutie-that fur looks sooo soft.

Thanks everyone.
Laura Lynn's pattern was the right size to use this long fabric.

I actually at one time had like six yards of this fabric.
It is really soft.
My mom was saving it to make a long coat for herself. I had to get rid of some years ago. I only kept about half a yard. I had no room to store it.

It had a price tag on it that said 1.35 a yard. It seems so cheap now but I guess at that time it was expensive. Times have changed!

Kathryn sends hugs to everyone. She needs to go comb her hair

Wow, she looks soooo soft. I want to pick her up and cuddle her all day long. That is really nice fur. I have not gotten up the courage to try long thick stuff yet. I am working my way up to it. I have some long brown synthetic fur I was keeping to do a grizzly bear later when I have a little more experience. I just have to find the right pattern for it. hehe

I am really enjoying this challenge, seeing all the different interpretations of the one pattern. I am about to go on two weeks holidays. Hopefully when I get back they might be a few more beautiful bears for me to see!

Hi,
I just got reregistered after being away for a long while. I recently retired and think that I will finally be able to spend some time making bears again. I've really missed it. I was debating what I should start with, when I found your challenge. I think that fate was guiding me to you. I'm also in the process of organizing all my bear making and knitting supplies. I was looking around the mess yesterday and wasn't able to figure out where the appropriate fur might be. Then I glanced at a disorganized pile of stuff and saw a small piece of very soft, good synthetic. Guess what! It was the pefect size for Laura's challenge bear. I then read that it wasn't too late to participate, and I cut it out. If I can remember how to send a picture, I will send it as soon as I have it finished. Thanks for being there at just the right time for me.
Sandy

Great to have you back Sandi. Can't wait to see your bear! There's another Challenge going on right now too and you can actually win a $25 Gift Certificate for that one. Look around your "stash" for some interesting fabric and then create an imaginary friend. You'll find the rules for that challenge by following this link:
