I am hoping there is someone out there who can help. I am a newbie when it comes to bear-making though i am finding it addictive, i want to make my own and have drawn some rough sketches but need to turn them into patterns. What is the best way to go about this? Please HELP!

The way I started was to take a pattern you already have and look how it is made , then figure out what you want to look different, then make those changes. Like a fatter tummy, bigger feet, a wider head, etc. Then as you make bear after bear it will change into totally you!!! Pick up your own way of a nose, a way you do the eyes, think of something new, go wild !! create your heart out !!!! Good luck....looking forward to seeing great things from you !!!!

I looked at other pattern for ideas on how to make my pattern do what I wanted. I have changed my basic pattern many times...bigger tummy, longer arms or legs, bigger feet. Nancy Tillbergs book 101 Bears to Make is a great resource.
